Stolen Work Returned 30 Years Later

In 1978 a 14th century icon was stolen from a monastery in the city of Serres. It was estimated at a worth of one million euros. The work was cut in half to fit inside a suitcase. Some years later it came in to the possession of a Greek-born London shipper. It was identified as stolen in 2002 when this man offered to sell the piece to a museum in Athens. The incident was handed over to the ministery of culture, which tried desperatley to get it back. On November 6, it was finally returned to Greece after the British court ruled that it should be returned.

Pop Artist Peter Blake and Coke

Pop Artist Sir Peter Blake got up with Coke and made a huge piece of art on the south bank of the Thames River. The south bank is a popular tourist attraction with many jugglers, entertainers and more. It is a silhouette of a coke bottle spewing out icons in pop culture. Also, there are hearts, stars and targets. It is very vibrant and has life sized icons. It's purpose is to capture summer. It is a good example of pop art. Also, it indirectly adversities coke to the people of England.
